Paul is considered one of Canada’s top interviewing trainers. Trains interviewers (and producers) for CBC Radio and TV. Author of the widely used text, Asking Questions: The Art of the Media Interview (also published as How to Interview).

Regular speaker on interviewing at universities and colleges (such as Ryerson, York, King’s College, Centennial College) and at conferences for, among others, the Canadian Association of Journalists, Professional Writers Association of Canada, Wordstock and the Association of Certified Fraud Investigators.

Teaches “Interviewing for Magazine Journalists” course as part of Ryerson University’s Certificate in Magazine Publishing program.

Recently conducted interviewing workshops for reporters and editors at the Times of Malta newspaper.
